“We called our new generation hand care oil “Invisible Gloves” because its action is invisible to the naked eye, but it protects very effectively – like wearing protective gloves,” says a representative of the ODA LT laboratory.

According to her, the product uses an exclusive compound called reHeal, the main active ingredient of which is lanthanum nitrate.

“The antimicrobial and antiviral effects of this active ingredient have already been discussed in the scientific literature, but we are the first to develop a real product with lanthanum nitrate. The protective oil enriched with this active ingredient works in three ways: against bacteria, fungi and viruses,” she says.

Studies have shown that the new O.D.A. product provides 99.99% protection against Bovine betacoronavirus1 (BcoV-1), better known as coronaviruses, within 2 minutes of skin contact, 99.99% protection after 3 hours, stops the growth of the vast majority of mycelia after 3 hours of exposure, and provides 24-hour continuous inhibition of the growth of microorganisms (bacteria).

“The research was carried out in the well-known independent Eurofins laboratory on 20 volunteers with no medical conditions and no use of any medication that might affect the study,” adds a spokeswoman for the ODA LT laboratory.

The oil not only protects against negative external influences, but also helps to care for chapped skin, she says.

“The protective oil has regenerative properties: wounds from surgery, thermal and chemical burns heal more quickly. And thanks to its glycerol and other intensive emollients, it doesn’t dry out the skin on the hands, but rather softens it. Therefore, it can be used every day,” she says.

The Invisible Gloves Protective Hand Care Oil works only until the hands are washed. For an antimicrobial effect, it should be reapplied after washing. It is recommended for use on persons aged 3 years and over.

“The oil developed in the O.D.A. laboratory has already been presented at Cosmoprof 2022 in Bologna and Beauty 2022 in Düsseldorf. The manufacturers hope that not only Lithuanians will be interested in this innovative product, but also foreign markets will be able to benefit from Invisible Gloves in the future. The protective oil is currently available in the O.D.A. online shop and at ODA clinics in Vilnius and Kaunas.
